“The Expectations of Man”We often hear the phrase, “tomorrow just isn’t promised to anyone” or “life has no assure”; or even, “live everyday as if it have been your last”. But what if tomorrow was certain and every thing you ever wanted was inevitable to be yours http://GELONDONG.INFO. Could you honestly say that you are positioned to obtain all that you wanted? More importantly are you really living for your self? Does your life belong to you?
The meaning of life and the journey toward finding individual objective has been a universal mystery for centuries http://PANEN.INFO. Based mostly on cultural backgrounds now we have outlined our lives across the rudiments of tradition, mandates of governments, doctrines of religion and of course, expectations of man. In the long run, we lose touch with our true self; or for some individuals, they never seem to come close to discovering who they were born to be.
As the poem continues, “Blue and crimson and white it shines, over the steel-tipped, ordered lines. Hats off! The colours earlier than us fly; but more than the flag is passing by.”
Life is more than just making a dwelling, going to work, dashing the kids off to after school sporting meets, praying for a full weekend off, yet thinking you can’t refuse overtime, “because you could use the cash!” There is more to life than watching tv on the most important TV screen you can fit in your home, recording program after program on Tivo, SO YOU CAN WATCH YOUR SHOWS YOU MISS WHILE AT WORK! There’s more to life then constantly thinking about only yourself and how you are going to be able to meet your needs, and your households, week after week. Phillipians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your want in accordance with his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” So, if that’s the case, then all that is left for us to do is believe, and live our lives the way we had been intended to live previous to our creation. What are you most enthusiastic about? Do you actually love what you presently do? Does it provide every thing that it is advisable to live a well balanced life Spiritually, Personally, Economically, and Politically?
But at the end of the day, are you truly satisfied with who you are and the direction you are headed? As humans, it’s easy to place expectations on individuals within our household, friends who we have grown up with, those who we mentor, and colleagues who we work with for years. Ultimately, God has given us two wonderful gifts: time here on earth and the ability of choice.A middle-aged woman, Donna, once shared with me a story about her relationship with her only son
. Throughout Donna’s life she witnessed the fall of so many of her male relatives and childhood friends to medicine, prison, gangs, untimely death or just a lazy disposition toward life. She made a vow to herself that she would raise her son to be different; her son would grow up to be a strong political leader, some type of blue-collar executive or a prominent Pastor saving lives through the word of God. By the time he made it into his teenage years, Donna’s son was far from the trail that she mapped out for him. Becoming a teenage father, marrying the lady she didn’t want for him and getting involved in the urban street life-style, Donna soon chose to disconnect herself from her son’s life entirely.
“How may he do this to me”, was her frame of thinking. Years went by and their relationship eventually severed http://TERTULIS.INFO. Someday Donna received a phone that her son had been killed in a freak accident. Donna was devastated by his loss of life but extra so traumatized by the additional data that she discovered from his wife.
At the time of his death, her son was back in class, had stopped his negative interaction on the streets and often voiced his sincere admiration for her. And lastly, the son, who she turned away, had been ministering the word of God to young men on the streets for a long time now. Just because she did not see her son in the churches preaching she assumed that he did not know God. It wasn’t till the funeral that she learned of the impact her son had on so many lives. At present, her deepest regret is, not so much that she didn’t say goodbye; but, that she didn’t allow him a chance to indicate her who he really was when he was still alive.
